About Cabana, the pattern Tropical light through matchstick blinds. Bamboo in breeze-sway. Color, shadows, and the sunlight in between.
Reimagined for the present from a Japanese textile purchased in the 1930s by our second-generation owners, Remy Sr. & Lucile Chatain. The original was a metallic gold foil print, executed on the most delicate of rice papers. Tucked away in a small folder of travel ephemera for almost one hundred years – we felt it was time for this textural treat to see the light of day.
About Cabana, the pillow All of the pillows in our Belgian Linen collection are made to order in Los Angeles, California. The fabrics are printed in small batches by hand by our partners at a family-owned facility on the finest (and softest) Belgian Linen, and your pillows will be cut and sewn to order just a mile down the road from there by another family-owned workshop. We've been working with both of these partners for over a decade because they're simply the best at what they do.
Each pillow is made using our hand-printed fabrics for the front and back, as well as for the piped border. How the pattern is placed on each pillow will vary and may not look exactly like the one pictured here, and our partners will always do their best to align seams on edges wherever possible. Each pillow is fitted with a concealed YKK zipper.
To care for your pillows, we recommend spot cleaning any stains as quickly as possible. Dry cleaning may impact the brightness of the pigments used in our printing process, but will not damage pillows overall - we recommend dry cleaning only in the case of persistent stains. Iron any wrinkles out while the pillow cover is turned inside out on your iron's medium heat or linen setting.
Pillow cover: 100% Belgian Linen. 25/75 feather/down pillow insert with cotton cover.
Our Terracotta, White, Marine and Black colorways are printed on Natural linen; Gator, Terracotta, Seadrift, Sun, Navy and Fog are printed on White linen.

Perfectly imperfect, the striations in Cabana run both horizontally and vertically in a subtle, hand-drawn rhythm. The combination of softness and geometry means that Cabana is an amazing counterpart to larger, bolder patterns (we love it with Martinique® for the way it picks up the veins in the banana leaves).
To say we were overjoyed when we discovered this beautiful piece of history in a small stack of mementos from second generation CW Stockwell owners Lucile and Remy L. Chatain,Sr.'s 1930's vacation to Kobe, Japan - that would be the understatement, of...well, the century.
