Well...is it trite to say "these go with everything" - just like your most treasured pair of jeans? But these little denim badboys are ready to play host to literally whatever whets your appetite. Reversing to our Cabana and Martinique® Encore prints of each side, they provides a bit of depth and texture to allow you to mix or match.
Each placemat is made start to finish in Los Angeles, California: the fabric is first printed by hand by our master printers there; it's then washed for maximum softness at a family-run wash house down the road; finally, the team at ATELIER SAUCIER expertly cuts, sews and trims each one before it makes its way to your table.
Each placemat is made using our hand-printed fabrics. How the pattern is placed on each placemat will vary and may not look exactly like the ones pictured here.
To care for your placemat, we recommend machine washing on a delicate setting in cold water. Hang to dry. Note: dry cleaning may impact the brightness of the pigments used in our printing process, but will not damage the placemat overall - we recommend dry cleaning only in the case of persistent stains. Iron any wrinkles out (as needed) on your iron's low heat or linen setting.
Placemats are 17”X30”.

Perfectly imperfect, the striations in Cabana run both horizontally and vertically in a subtle, hand-drawn rhythm. The combination of softness and geometry means that Cabana is an amazing counterpart to larger, bolder patterns (we love it with Martinique® for the way it picks up the veins in the banana leaves).
To say we were overjoyed when we discovered this beautiful piece of history in a small stack of mementos from second generation CW Stockwell owners Lucile and Remy L. Chatain,Sr.'s 1930's vacation to Kobe, Japan - that would be the understatement, of...well, the century.
