About Cinema, the pattern Enigmatic texture on repeat. Shimmering depth of field.
Just like a book and its cover, a pattern can’t be judged by a tiny swatch. But until we feasted our eyes on an archival photograph of Cinema’s installation in the 1962 Hollywood Palladium Decorators’ Showcase? A swatch was all we had. And while we’d already loved everything that tiny sheet had evoked – its florettes, its ripples, its strands of beads – we were gobsmacked by it when we saw how it commandeered a whole room. Gobsmacked. We think you will be too.
About Cinema, the pillow All of the pillows in our Belgian Linen collection are made to order in Los Angeles, California. The fabrics are printed in small batches by hand by our partners at a family-owned facility on the finest (and softest) Belgian Linen, and your pillows will be cut and sewn to order just a mile down the road from there by another family-owned workshop. We've been working with both of these partners for over a decade because they're simply the best at what they do.
Each pillow is made using our hand-printed fabrics for the front and back, as well as for the piped border. How the pattern is placed on each pillow will vary and may not look exactly like the one pictured here, and our partners will always do their best to align seams on edges wherever possible. Each pillow is fitted with a concealed YKK zipper.
To care for your pillows, we recommend spot cleaning any stains as quickly as possible. Dry cleaning may impact the brightness of the pigments used in our printing process, but will not damage pillows overall - we recommend dry cleaning only in the case of persistent stains. Iron any wrinkles out while the pillow cover is turned inside out on your iron's medium heat or linen setting.
Pillow cover: 100% Belgian Linen. 25/75 feather/down pillow insert with cotton cover.
All colorways of Cinema are printed on White linen.

Stumbling across this image by noted interiors photographer Maynard L. Parker amid the Huntington Library's collection of his work was instrumental to our decision to re-release Cinema. Seeing its rhythmic organic shapes in repeat on the wall proves to be vastly different than experiencing the pattern in a small swatch, which until that moment was all we had.
This photo was taken at the 1962 Hollywood Decorators Showcase where CW Stockwell debuted a new collection via several elaborate vignettes such as this one.
